11 states driven through

9 inches of hair cut off

8 games of skeeball played by me

7 fish tacos consumed by Pete

7 different hotels

5 rainbows seen (although only a few are kind of captured by camera)

4.7 miles walked in one day in San Francisco

4 ice-cream visits (Serendipity, Ben & Jerry's, Bi-Rite Creamery, Ciao Bella)

$3.59 the highest we paid for gas

3 cars that were farther away from home than we were - Maine, North Carolina, Tennessee

3 State/National Parks visited - Grand Canyon, Big Sur, Muir Woods (and countless Ewok jokes made at Muir Woods)

3 beaches visited - Santa Monica, Venice, and Carmel

3 In-N-Out visits made

2 sunsets intentionally seen

2 drives across the Golden Gate Bridge

2 days of sunburn for me

2 museums visited

1 sword purchased from Chinatown

1 drive-in movie attended (Inception)

1 mind-blowing meal at Chow

0 injuries - minus the time that I was looking at my phone while Pete was driving too fast on twisty roads out of Muir Woods and I got carsick

0 tickets (car/parking)

You guys, we had such an amazing time. Just checking in - Ryan, our wedding photographer - posted a few pictures from our big day here. But now, Pete and I are going to play Seinfeld Scene-It? (we registered for it...that's right. We registered at Target almost specifically for board games. I love our friends and families) and eat some greasy Chinese food. We came home a few days early from our trip and decided that even though we're home, responsibility will be avoiding us until we were SUPPOSED to get home.

But. I shall return with wedding and honeymoon photos and stories and more!

If I was Oprah...

...these would be my favorite things, as of late:

1. Pillows- all shapes and sizes. I can snuggle up to any pillow, and quickly.

2. Hot showers. Complete with my Dr. Bronner's lavender body wash. Mmmmm.

3. 30 Rock and Arrested Development. These have always been my favorites, but I am falling head over heels in love. Again. With both of them.

4. My Sigg water bottle. So trusty and new(ish)!

5. Pete. I mean, I'm not going to give him away on my talk show, but he is truly the best person in the universe. Sorry, Oprah.

6. Hyperbole and a Half. I spent four hours (and no, that isn't an exaggeration) reading the archives on Allie's blog. I'm kind of in love with her. I think we would be good friends in real life.

7. Our CSA (community-supported agriculture). I love picking our produce up, I love coming up with new ways to cook with what we receive. Also we've been getting berries lately and those are a fun snack.

8. New bras. Seriously. I got some new bras and they're pretty awesome.

9. Wedding presents. I like getting presents and between the four (!) wedding showers I've had, and then getting packages and cards in the mail...it's pretty sweet.

10. Listening to old music from my high school days.

11. Frozen gnocchi from Trader Joe's. Mmmm delicious and so easy!

12. Good friends that will listen to me bitch, cry, or be super duper happy. Because everything is like a roller coaster right now!

13. Musings of our honeymoon...we're leaving in a week!

14. Frozen yogurt...which I am about to go enjoy right now with some delightful friends :)

I hope you all are having a great holiday weekend!!
